Accountability Performance System

TIS implements an exceptional training methodology known as the Accountability Performance System (APS). We believe being held accountable for results greatly increases the learning impact and retention.

Here’s how it works:

An Accelerated Learning Guide (ALG) is created (paper and/or online) based on the company’s materials and resources. This comprehensive written/online guide serves as the “road map” for training, leading the Learner through the training materials they are required to master within the course. This is an intense, structured curriculum of learning.

The ALG is organized as a series of Checkpoints. These are much like chapters in a book, with each Checkpoint focusing on a specific topic. Within each Checkpoint there are assignments and activities for the Learner to complete.

A schedule is created at the beginning of the course which includes dates for Checkpoint Meetings. These periodic meetings require the Learner to demonstrate that they have absorbed the materials and provide the Learning Facilitator (and/or Manager) the opportunity to gauge the Learner’s progress. The Checkpoint Meetings can be done via phone or in person. Some companies have elected to have Subject Matter Experts also attend these meetings.

Upon completion of all of the Checkpoints and associated Checkpoint Meetings, the Learner will go through Certification. This is the focal point or “destination” of their “road map”. At the Certification, the Learner is required to answer Certification Questions in a one-on-one session with an Assessor in an effort to discuss, explain and demonstrate what they have learned.

Imbedded within the Accountability Performance System are unique tools and techniques to engage and track the Learner’s performance. The Hawthorne Effect is readily on display: productivity increases when the Learner knows they are being watched. This system is designed to allow management to identify those exceptional Learners early in the training process, as well as those who are not motivated to succeed. Both of which reflect heavily in a company’s training ROI.

This system is flexible and unique. It can be implemented in-house or TIS can provide the Learning Facilitator. The ALG can be housed internally on a company’s learning platform (LMS) or on the TIS learning platform. Should a company choose to implement the training in-house, Facilitator Training and additional support is also available.
